friendship

My circle of friends has gotten a lot bigger lately and it feels good. I love making friends but I think the hardest part is maintaining the friendship once you have it. Like anything it has to be worked at to be kept. I feel discouraged when I work so hard at certain friendships but just don't feel like I get anything in return. It hurts when you ask over and over to spend time with people who claim to be your friends and they can never make time for you. I guess you just keep trucking because you never know if it's something going on in their personal life. I want to be a great friend and I hope that there are some who consider me to be.
